Brother ScanNCut Tips & Tricks – Creating a Stamping Mask or Stencil

In this Brother ScanNCut Tips & Tricks video, you will learn how to create a stamping mask or stencil using your Brother Scan and Cut. The stamped image we will cut out is from the Sentimental Rose Paper Pumpkin kit by Stampin’ Up! It is the April 2019 kit which contains all of the supplies to make 9 note cards. It even includes a card box. This technique is a way to create alternate projects using the Sentimental Rose April 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit. First, I stamped a rose using Memento Black ink. Then, I used a pencil to outline it so that the outline would be recognized. Then, I used Scan to Cut data to scan in and save the outline of the rose. Then, I removed the rose and added the stencil material. The settings used with the CM350 or ScanNCut2 are:
Deep Cut Blade = 6
Speed = 2
Pressure = 3
After cutting the stencil material, I demonstrate how to use it. I used the stamping mask to color the inside of the rose in Flirty Flamingo and the outside leaves in Mint Macron. This gives the leaves the appearance of being behind the rose. Finally, I shared a Mother’s Day card I created using this technique.
