Cracker Box Tutorial – Candy Box featuring the Pressed Petals dsp & Daisy Lane

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a Cracker Box or Candy Box. We will use the Pressed Petals specialty designer series paper for creating the box. Start out by scoring the dsp. Then, cut it, punch it and then glue it. Here are the measurements.

Horizontal
Cut dsp 7 1/2″ by 6″
Score at 1 3/4″ 3 1/2″, 5 1/4″, and 7″
Vertical
Score at 1 1/2″ on both sides

Use the small punch from the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack to punch the shapes. Center the ornament along each score line, pushing the punch as far in as it will go. This will make all of the punch shapes uniform. After punching, use glue to adhere the box together.

Use a 1 1/2″ circle for the sentiment. I stamped the Smile sentiment from the Daisy Lane stamp set using Rococo Rose. Use a 1 3/4″ circle for the outer circle. Stamp the daisies in Crumb Cake. Then, punch them using the coordinating daisy punch. Lightly sponge color the daisies using Rococo Rose. Use a bone folder or spatula to curl the petals. Adhere the two layers using glue. Then, add a floral center and attach the embellishments to the box. Each piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim is 14.”
