Easter Crafts – Side-Step Cards for Kids

Side Step Easter Cards for Kids

Ingredients:

Sizzix Side Step Card Bigz Die
Easter Elements Bigz Die by Tim Holtz
Big Shot
Cutting Plates
Card stock and Spring paper
Embellishments

Recipe:

These cards and Easter crafts were created by students in 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade. They were taught how to use the Big Shot die cutting machine and dies. The students selected the papers, stamps, washi tape and embellishments and came up with each of these unique designs. The only challenge was folding the side-step card so that it would stand up properly. For this, children needed help from the adults. The sandwich for each of the Bigz dies is a cutting plate, die face up, card stock and the top cutting plate. Be sure to flip the top plate frequently. Don’t allow the kids to cut the cards too quickly. They get excited and want to cut out lots of bunnies. This will create a lot of friction with the Big Shot machine and the heat will cause the cutting plate to warp.
