Brother ScanNCut Tutorial – Cutting Patterned Paper – Mosaic Mood dsp – Stampin’ Up! – Acetate Trick

In this tutorial, you will learn how to cut out patterned paper using your Brother Scan and Cut SDX125. The paper we are using for these examples is Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up! It is part of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog by Stampin’ Up! The trick you will learn is the Acetate Trick. You first place the acetate over the hummingbirds and trace them with a fine tip Sharpie Marker. Then, use Painter’s Tape to secure the acetate and then slip a white piece of paper behind it for scanning. Use Direct Cut to scan in the pattern you traced. I shared ways to remove any unwanted lines which were scanned. Then, remove the white paper and replace that with the Mosaic Mood dsp. Align the dsp and use Painter’s Tape to hold it down. Then, remove the acetate and cut only the hummingbirds. Then, increase the outline distance to add a border to your hummingbirds. Cut out a layer of card stock with a 0.04″ outline distance.

I shared several cards I embellished using the hummingbirds from the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper. I created these cards using the Memorable Mosaic stamp set and coordinating Timeless Label punch.
