Using the Brother Scan N Cut to cut out Coffee Break DSP

Coffee Break Designer Series Paper cut out with the Brother Scan N Cut

Ingredients:

Stampin’ Up Coffee Break Designer Series Paper
Other ingredients will be listed in blog posts related to each project I create with these.

Recipe:

In this video, I demonstrate how to cut out little cups and pots from the paper. I start by turning on the Brother Scan N Cut. Then, I adhere the paper to the mat with the spatula. I demonstrate how to load the paper, scan the images, select an area to cut, and cut out the images in that area. I briefly go over ignoring small objects so that the tiny parts are not cut. Some little bits of steam were not ignored. I also go over how to trash some incomplete images, preserving as much of the designer series paper as you can. In this instance, I didn’t want to cut all the paper because there are very nice coffee beans on the other side of it. I usually cut out the entire page. Even though you can’t always see my machine’s screen clearly, I verbally walk you through the steps so you should be able to follow along with your machine.

  1. Oh my. I’ve never seen the Scan N Cut before but now I’m dropping big hints to my husband…. Love it and all the cute Coffee Break goodies you made.

  2. Thanks for your comments. I love it so much. Today, I was coloring stamps with friends. They both fussy cut their stamps. I waited until I got home to cut mine out. The Brother Scan N’ Cut is just so much more accurate than fussy cutting.

  3. I stumbled upon your YT video and was thrilled to find a SU demonstrator who also has a Scan N Cut! I own a SNC and lots of SU products, but can’t find many people who use both. After watching your videos, I had to subcribe to both your YT channel and blog because I can’t wait to see what else you do with your SNC and SU products! Thanks so much for the inspiration!!!! 🙂 I’m pinning your projects and sharing with my personal friends too…hope that brings you some business.

  4. Thanks for your comments Lisa Marie. I think the Brother Scan N’ Cut is the best kept secret of the crafting world. I don’t know what I would do without mine. The other day, my friends and I were coloring stamped images. They each fussy cut their images and I waited until I got home to cut it out with my machine. It does a more accurate and professional job. Thanks for pinning my posts. It doesn’t make us lazy crafters, it makes us better crafters.

  5. Wow!!! I just purchased a Scan N’ Cut and and still very new as to how to use it to its full potential. When cutting Stampin’ Up DSP, what setting do you have your blade set to?
