Recipe:
I will start off by saying that I own the Candy Box Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers and I love it because I can make candy boxes which vary in height. However, using the product is very time consuming not to mention hard on my wrist. I purchased a lot of candy for holiday gifts and I needed large boxes which were quick and easy to make. My Big Shot Pro helped me out. It’s so fast to cut out these boxes and is even quicker than using an electronic die cutting machine like the Cricut. That’s because this die has just one piece and then you only need to fold and adhere it together. First, select cardstock which will be strong enough to hold its shape when folded into a box. Then, run it through the Big Shot Pro using the Candy Box die. The sandwich is the tray, base plate, die, paper face up, crease pad. Then, fold along the score lines and adhere it together. Tie a bow at one end with twine. Fill with large treats because small ones like Lifesavers will fall right out. For example, I used bags of mini M&Ms, mini candy bars, mini candy canes, etc. Shake the candy so that it settles inside the box and then tie another box of twine on the other end. You can also embellish the boxes with tags.
