In this video, I show you several wine tags I created to dress up German wine bottles for the holidays. These tags accent the bottles and have fun additions to them like little wooden nutcrackers. Materials used for this project include Christmas Around the World designer series paper by Stampin’Up, Riding Hood Red card stock, Pining for Plaid Paper Pumpkin kit (October, 2017), several punches and other materials which are all listed here.
Cut the card stock 8.5” by 2 5/8” and an inner layer of dsp 8 3/8” by 2.5.” Place the pieces in their location with a slight border around the edges and score the tag at 2.5”. Use the Pretty Label Punch to punch through both layers, lining up the middle of the punch with the score line. This step is demonstrated in the video. After you punch out the pieces, save them because they will be used as layers on your tags. Adhere the card stock to the dsp. The reason you want to adhere it after you punch it is so that you don’t get adhesive onto your punch. Stamp the Glad Tidings of Joy and Season’ Greeting sentiments from the Pining for Plaid Paper Pumpkin kit. Use the pre-cut banners for stamping. Layer the sentiment onto a gold background. Layer that onto a plaid banner. Cut a piece of plaid card stock 3.5” by 1” and then cut the ends using the Triple Banner Punch. Layer that over two cut outs from the Pretty Label punch. Use foam adhesives for all of the layers. The little bows and German sentiments were cut out of the Christmas Around the World paper using the Brother Scan and Cut. The To/From tag was created with the Merry Little Labels stamp set. Use Gold Bakers twine for all of the smaller tags. Accent the bottles with small nutcracker ornaments.
