In this Ink it Up! Tutorial, I share how to create a box from a card. We used the Bouquet of Hope Paper Pumpkin Kit – February 2021 for this tutorial. You can follow along with any card/cardstock you have. First, I shared how to make the bottom of the box a “smidgen” smaller (1/16″) so that the top will fit over the bottom of the box. Then, I shared how to make the bottom of the box using the Just Jade piece. I used the Rococo Rose piece for the top of the box. I shared how to color the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder with Merry Merlot ink and the Sponge Brayer. Then, after that, I scored it and made the lid. I shared how to use the Sponge Brayer to cover up any white parts of the card which show through. Then, I used Merry Merlot ink to stamp the sentiment from the Bouquet of Hope Paper Pumpkin Kit. Then, I decorated and embellished the box. I hope you will give this technique a try using cards you have. These boxes fit many small gifts like hand sanitizer, lip balm and chocolates. The dimensions for this box and a list of materials I used to help me create several alternative Paper Pumpkin are listed below.
