Card Making Tutorial – How to Create a Gate Fold Card – Bird Ballad dsp by Stampin’ Up!

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a gate fold card. The final card is A2 size. Start with a 8.5″ X 11″ piece of card stock. Place it horizontally on the Simply Scored score board. Score it at 2.75″ and 8.25.” Place the card stock vertically onto a paper trimmer. Cut it at 4.25″ and then use a spatula to flatten the card along its score lines. Cut a 5.25″ X 4″ mat out of card stock for the inside of the card. Cut two mats from the Bird Ballad designer series paper for the outer panels. They are 4″ X 2.5″ each. Embellish the card using a sentiment from the Free as a Bird stamp set and other shapes, cut outs and/or patterns from the Bird Ballad designer series paper.

Card
Smokey Slate Card Stock
Score at 2.75″ and 8.25″
Cut it at 4.25″

Designer Series Paper
4″ X 2.5″ – cut two for the front
Belly Band
12″ X 1″ – wrap and adhere

Sentiments
Free As A Bird Stamp Set
Stamp in Old Olive or Bermuda Bay
Punch dsp using 1.5″ Circle Punch
Punch a cardstock layer using 1.75″ Circle Punch
