Hello Crafty Friends,

With Valentine’s Day approaching, I wanted to share images of crafts I created for friends and family members. I created the Valentine’s Day treats last year, before I had this blog. I used my Cricut, many different Valentine’s Day and friendship stamps, pretty papers and stickers for these projects. I provided measurements for a couple of the projects and other images for ideas. I would like this post to serve as inspiration to you as you embark on your crafty journey to make Valentine’s Day treats. Heartfelt creations like these are fun to give to loved ones and coworkers. Having a theme for your care packages and gift baskets shows that you took time and made an effort which will be appreciated. Feel free to comment or to ask specific questions.

Recipes:

Valentine Nugget Treats
Hershey Nugget Treats
To create a tray to hold 6 nuggets, cut the cardstock 6″ by 2.25″ and then score at 3/8″ on each side. To wrap each nugget, cut each piece of the Valentine’s paper 3.25″ by 1″. Use rolling adhesive for adhering the paper. Don’t use liquid glue as it could seep into the candy which is only lightly foiled. Place 6 nuggets horizontally into each tray, alternating patterns. Use one line of rolling adhesive to help hold the Nuggets in place. The toppers were created with card stock cut with the Cricut. A stamp from a Stampin’ Up Paper Pumpkin kit was used for the sentiment.

M&M Treats
Fill the 1″ cellophane bags with Valentine’s Day M&Ms – plain and peanut. Alternate the colors when filling the bag. Then, add a topper on each created with matching Valentine patterned paper. To create a topper, cut a 1.5″ by 5″ piece of paper and score at 2.5″, Adhere the topper to the bag using rolling adhesive. Stamp the sentiments and punch them out. Attach the sentiments to the toppers using foam adhesives.
