Recipe:
I have to admit it, I’m not really into plaid. It’s sort of growing on me as I’m surrounded by plaid items this season. I decided to feature plaid in these cards which I made for a Stampin’ Up card swap because I think that the people I’m trading cards with will like this design. To create this card, I started with a Very Vanilla card base. The front of the card is 5.5” by 4.25.” I took the plaid cards from the October 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit: Pining for Plaid and cut them into 5.25” by 4” mats. I wrapped Cherry Cobbler ribbon around the back of the mats before attaching them with thin foam strips and rolling adhesive. I added tacky tape to the ribbon on the front of the card to hold it into place. I attached the snowflakes with a light layer of tacky glue. I punched out plaid shapes from the Christmas Around the World dsp using the Everyday Label punch. I stamped the sentiment from the Paper Pumpkin kit onto Very Vanilla cardstock using Cherry Cobbler ink. I punched out the sentiments with the Everyday label punch and attached them to the plaid shapes using foam dimensionals.
