In this tutorial, you will learn how to cut stamped images with your Brother Scan and Cut SDX125. You can follow along with whichever model of ScanNCut that you have. The stamp set featured in this tutorial is Sweet Ice Cream by Stampin’ Up! I shared tips and tricks on how to cut out the popsicles. I used Black & White recognition mode and an outline distance of 0.04″ when cutting out the popsicles using Direct Cut. I cut out the popsicle sticks using the In Good Taste designer series paper which has a wood grain print. I shared how to use Scan to Cut Data for cutting out stamped images. The advantage of this method is to be able to duplicate and resize the images. You can move the shapes around on the mat. This is especially useful for using the Background Scanning feature. Background Scan allows you to move the shapes onto the DSP so that the popsicles cut out with the color and texture you place them over. After sharing the Brother ScanNCut Tips and Tricks, I shared what to do with the pieces. I shared several projects I created using the embellishments from the patterns I cut out. Settings for the SDX125 and CM350 are listed below.

Hi, I am trying to cut out the large rose/leaf on Mosaic Mood. I traced the outline with a pencil but when scanning, I am getting all the little bits as well. I used the outline option but I am still getting lots of little bits, not just the penciled outline. Have you tried scanning Mosaic Mood?
Thanks for your help
Hi Pam, that paper is very tricky. Here are two tutorials I created with the Mosaic Mood DSP. Lots of tips and tricks.

Hi
Can you scan a stamped item and put the .4” space around it and then save it to be used later. When you cut it will the .4” be saved as well. I have tried but could only save as a normal stamped item.
Thanks helen
