Ink It Up! – Coloring Wink of Stella & Other Tips & Tricks

In this Ink It Up! Tutorial, you will learn how to color your Wink of Stella and other tips and tricks. We start out with using Wink of Stella which was colored using Bumble Bee and Daffodil Delight. I shared how I used it to color daisies. Then, I share how to use Pool Party, Balmy Blue and Rubbing Alcohol to refill and tint your Wink of Stella. By refilling and adding color to your Wink of Stella, you not only make it last longer, you also have so many more options like coloring snow. I shared how to use the ripped paper technique to create snow covered hills colored with Wink of Stella. I used the Snowflake Splendor designer series paper and the So Many Snowflakes dies to create the giant snowflake in the background. I used the sponge brayer technique to make the snowflake stand out on a Pool Party card. I used the Stampin’ Blends, Gnome for the Holidays stamp set and sentiment to finish this card LIVE with my Crafty Friends.

  1. Thank you, Kim, so much for showing how to refill the Wink of Stella. I was sure it could be done, but not sure how. Yay! What do you do when the glitter runs out? Can we refill the glitter?

  2. Donna, the glitter pens are very inexpensive and I’ve been using them and throwing them out for years. This just gives us one more full use but after that, just purchase another. You are never going to be able to formulate the glitter solution as well as they can in the factory where these are made.
