Brother ScanNCut Tips & Tricks – Background Scanning – I’ll Be Yours Paper Pumpkin

In this ScanNCut Tips & Tricks video, you will learn how to use the Background Scan or Background Scanning feature of your SDX125. The other models of Scan and Cut have this feature as well. The images we are using for the background scanning were stamped from the January 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit – I’ll Be Yours. I stamped each background in colors which coordinate with the kit. I used Highland Heather, Mint Macron, and Rococo Rose to stamp the floral background onto Whisper White cardstock.

First, you select Pattern to add shapes. Then, you resize the shapes. For this example, we created 2 different styles of hearts which were 2″ by 2″ and added them to the mat area. Then, you position the hearts over the background. We used the Background Scanning feature to scan in the piece of Whisper White with the floral images stamped onto them. Then, we positioned the hearts over the each of the stamped areas so that they would cut out in the correct locations. I shared mini cards and envelopes I decorates with hearts cut out using this technique. Stay tuned for a video on many more projects you can create using the I’ll Be Yours January 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit.
