Brother ScanNCut Tutorial – Cutting Patterned Paper – Flowering Foils DSP by Stampin’ Up!

In this tutorial, you will learn how to cut out patterned paper using your Brother Scan and Cut SDX125. The paper we are using for these examples is The Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up! It is part of the 2020 Sale-A-Bration special. To cut out the patterns, I scanned in the paper and then selected a specific area. I shared tips and tricks on ignoring object size and removing unwanted parts. For the smaller flowers, I used Direct Cut and no Outline Distance. For the larger flowers, I used a pencil to outline them and then used an outline distance of -0.03″ for cutting inside of the pencil line. Then, I changed the paper and cut a layer around the flower with an Outline Distance of 0.04″ using card stock from the Lovely Day Paper Pumpkin Kit.

I shared several projects I embellished using the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper. I created these cards using the Lovely Day Paper Pumpkin Kit, The Everything is Rosy Product Medley and the Welcome to the Team stamp from the Stamping Your Way to the Top stamp set.
