In this Brother Scan and Cut tutorial, we will use the ScanNCut SDX125 to cut out cardinals from the stencil inside of the October 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit: Winter Woods. First, attach the Poppy Parade stencil to a piece of Whisper White card stock. Hold it on with tiny glue dots or Painter’s Tape. Don’t cover the outer registration marks. They are needed for recognizing the scanned image. Because you are making the card stock thicker, you may be asked to switch the Scanning Lever to 2. Use Direct Cut to scan in the cardinals and then make a selection around the area you want to cut. Within the Editing mode, you can toggle through the cardinals and then delete the ones you don’t want and delete any stray marks you don’t want to cut out. After you have scanned them in and selected CUT, be sure to change out the paper to Poppy Parade Card Stock or another red color you are using for your cardinals. The settings are listed below.

Hello,
Can you make more of the trees like you did the bird?
Awesome scan n cut.
Thank you,
Hi LM, yes, try scanning the birch trees in on a dark background for contrast. Then, they can be recognized. You may loose a little detail but it should work.
