In this tutorial, you will learn how to cut out patterned paper using your Brother Scan and Cut SDX125. The paper we are using for these examples is Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up! It is part of the 2020 August to December Mini Catalog by Stampin’ Up! First, we used Direct Cut to scan in the patterns. Then, I shared ways to remove any unwanted sections which were scanned. You can do that by selecting the area you want to scan, ignoring object size and/or editing out the unwanted lines which were scanned in. I shared how to cut out the patterns using an outline distance and how to cut out another layer using foiled cardstock. The same techniques apply to cutting stamped images. We stamped the squirrel from the Banner Year stamp set using Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla cardstock. Then, we cut it out using Direct Cut.
I shared several cards I embellished using the leaves and acorns I cut out using the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper. I created cards, tags or bookmarks, diaper fold pouches and decorated coffee cups using the embellishments I cut out using the ScanNCut.
