Welcome to Part 2 of my three-part Brother Scan and Cut series on creating Hershey Nugget Treats featuring the Let it Snow Suite. In this tutorial, you will learn how to cut out the stamped images needed for this project using the CM350 or Scan and Cut 2. We use the Snowman Season for the snowman and the sentiment. We stamped several snowmen onto Whisper White card stock using Memento Black ink. We added the arms so that they cut out as part of the snowman image. I also shared a tip for stamping the hat onto the snowman so that it cuts out as one object. I also demonstrated how to make “Snowman Twins” by stamping two snowmen close together. I shared a pencil trick for enclosing the gaps so that the snowman are recognized by the scanner in Direct Cut mode. In this tutorial, I shared how to color the cut out snowmen using the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends marker and the carrot nose using the Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends marker. I stamped the “Let it Snow” sentiments onto Whisper White card stock using Blueberry Bushel ink. I shared another tip and trick for cutting the stamped sentiments. I shared how to add circles to the mat and then how to use Background Scan to re-position the circles over the sentiments. I also shared how I usually stamp my images which is to cut out a sheet of blank circles and then to stamp them all at once. You can fit 49 circles that are 1.5″ onto a piece of Whisper White card stock using a Pattern Interval of 1.
Settings for the ScanNCut 2 or CM350
Blade Depth = 4
Outline Distance for Snowman = 0.04″
Circles for Sentiments = 1.5″
