In this tutorial, I outline the steps used to create Hershey Nugget treats which showcase the new 2020-2022 In Colors by Stampin’ Up! The skills you will learn are: how to change the Cutting Area, how to use the Auto Layout feature, and how to Save and Retrieve a Template. These skills will save you time as you create multiples of the same paper crafting project.
For this tutorial, I’m using the SDX125 for this tutorial. You can follow along with any model you have. Last year, I created a similar tutorial using the CM350 which featured the 2019-2020 In Colors which is linked below.
In this example, I changed the cutting area to accommodate my 6″ by 6″ designer series paper. I am cutting multiples of the same size paper to create Hershey Nugget Treats or Hershey’s Nugget Treats. After you learn how to change your cutting area, you will learn how to add shapes to that area of your mat. Using Auto Layout will allow the shapes to be placed in the most efficient manner. Once you have the template the way you want it, you will learn how to save the file to your Scan and Cut so that you can use it again, saving you time in the future.
Hershey Nugget Toppers, Trays & Wrappers
Topper = 5″ x 2.25″
Score at 2.5″
Tray = 4.95″ x 2.25″ (or 5″ will work)
Score at 3/8 ” on both sides
Wrappers = 3.25″ x 1″
Blade Depth = 3 (CM350)
